Early Winter in the Garden at Millbrook Winery & Restaurant

Early Winter in the Garden at Millbrook Winery & Restaurant

After a prolonged warm season, winter has struck with full force in the Perth Hills, just in time for the new early winter menu in our Restaurant.

The change in season indicates the return to winter fare and our late spring crops of eggplants, marconi peppers, banana paprikas and beans (borlotti & haricott) are slowing down.

Our garden is currently flourishing with rapini (pictured), sunchokes, kohlrabi, watermelon radish and pumpkins.

In the orchard we are currently picking our first grapefruits, mandarins, limes and persimmons.

Our Head Gardener Mitch Seward anticipates the first crop of oranges, turnips and swedes to be harvested next week.

We hope to see you at Restaurant and Cellar Door soon. You can view our new early winter menu online here.
