Vintage Experience 2021 Wrap-Up
Last Saturday, 20th February 2021, we were joined by wine and food enthusiasts alike for Millbrook Winery’s annual ‘Vintage Experience’ event.
February is a time of action in our winery with vintage in full swing - vintage is when our grapes are harvested from the vines, starting the winemaking process. It is an exciting time to visit Millbrook and a rare opportunity to experience the magic from grape to glass.
Our team of chefs, led by Head Chef Jamie Hembrow, have built a reputation for crafting menus that highlight the produce sourced straight from our heirloom vegetable garden and 90-year-old orchard. The team, once again, did not disappoint, leaving little wonder why this event sells out each and every year!
Before settling in for a sumptuous long lunch, it’s time to get a peek behind the winery curtain. Who can refuse a vineyard tour of plush vines teeming with plump, ripe fruit? Or a behind-the-scenes peek of a working winery? Hosted by winemaker, Tom Bradshaw, guests were treated to a guided tour which ramped up appetites for the feast ahead.
The Vintage Experience is the perfect opportunity to release a range of Millbrook wines and we brought out some of our best. From the eagerly awaited new vintage releases (welcome back Estate Viognier) to a brand-new-to-Millbrook alternative variety (the oh so crisp and floral Regional Arneis) our guests were spoilt start to finish.
